Job summary

Class 2 Drivers are sought for ongoing roles in Darlington (DL1 2NG). Opportunities for Skip and RORO driving, with competitive pay and regular hours.

These roles require a valid Class 2 licence, CPC/Digi Tacho, and proven driving experience. You will perform daily vehicle checks, handle collections and deliveries, and ensure regulatory compliance and professional customer service.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 2 (C) licence and CPC/Digi Tacho Card.
• Previous Class 2 driving experience, preferably with skip or RORO.
• Good knowledge of drivers' hours and Working Time Regulations.
• Reliable, professional and safety-conscious approach.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate Class 2 vehicles to collect and deliver skips or RORO containers.
• Complete collections and deliveries safely and efficiently.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and report any defects.
• Ensure loads and containers are transported securely.
• Complete relevant paperwork accurately.
• Follow all site, health and safety and environmental procedures.
• Comply with drivers' hours and Working Time Regulations.
• Maintain a professional attitude when dealing with customers and site staff.

Location: Darlington - DL1 2NG

Pay: £15.00 per hour Monday - Friday

£17.00 per hour Saturday & Sunday

£18.00 per hour for hours worked over 40 hours

Hours: Monday - Friday, 7:00am until approximately 5:00pm

Saturday mornings on a rota basis - usually 1 in 3

We are looking for experienced Class 2 Drivers to join our client in Darlington (DL1 2NG), with opportunities available for both Skip Drivers and Roll On Roll Off (RORO) Drivers.

This is a fantastic opportunity for reliable and professional HGV drivers looking for regular, ongoing work with excellent rates of pay.

What We Offer a Class 2 Driver

• £15.00 per hour Monday - Friday
• £17.00 per hour Saturday & Sunday
• £18.00 per hour for any hours worked over 40 hours
• Monday - Friday, 7:00am until approximately 5:00pm

Key Responsibilities for a Class 2 Driver

Experience & Qualifications Needed for a Class 2 Driver

• Skip or RORO experience preferred, although relevant HGV experience will be considered
• Good knowledge of drivers' hours and Working Time Regulations
• No more than 6 points on licence
• Reliable, professional and safety-conscious approach
• Good communication and customer service skills
