Job summary

Freedom Recruitment Capital in Darlington is seeking an experienced Class 2 Skip Wagon Driver for a full-time role with potential for permanent placement. You will safely deliver and collect skips for commercial and domestic customers while upholding high safety and service standards.

The position runs Monday to Friday, 7:00am–4:30pm/5:00pm with overtime after 8 hours. A valid Class 2 licence, Driver CPC and Tachograph card are required; HIAB experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 2 (Category C) driving licence is required.
• Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
• Previous skip wagon driving experience or HIAB is a plus.
• Good knowledge of drivers' hours and road transport legislation.
• Reliable, punctual and safety conscious.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate a Class 2 skip wagon safely and efficiently.
• Deliver and collect skips from commercial and domestic customers.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and report any defects.
• Complete delivery paperwork and vehicle records accurately.
• Ensure all loads are transported safely and securely.
• Provide a professional and courteous service to customers.
• Comply with drivers' hours, Working Time Directive and health & safety regulations.
• Keep the vehicle clean and well maintained.

Overview

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Class 2 Skip Wagon Driver to join a well-established company based in Darlington. This is an ongoing, full-time opportunity with the potential for a permanent position. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe delivery and collection of skips from commercial and domestic customers while maintaining high standards of customer service, safety and professionalism.

Pay

• £14.00 - £15.69 per hour
• Overtime after 8 hours: £18.62 - £20.87 per hour

Working Hours

• Monday to Friday
• 7:00am - approximately 4:30pm/5:00pm
