Job summary

Driver Hire Southend is seeking an experienced Skip Driver to join our client's growing team for local work. You will deliver and collect skips, operate skip lorries and ensure loads are secure and compliant with regulations.

Working hours are Monday to Friday, 6:00 to 8:00 am starts. The role requires a valid HGV Class 2 licence, CPC and Digital Tachograph card, skip driving experience, and the ability to work outdoors with good communication and time management skills.

Qualifications

• Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence.
• Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph card.
• Mandatory skip driving experience.
• Good knowledge of road safety and regulations.
• Strong communication and time management skills.
• Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and collect skips safely and efficiently.
• Operate skip lorries (chain lift / roll-on roll-off).
• Conduct daily vehicle checks and report defects.
• Ensure loads are secure and compliant with regulations.
• Provide excellent customer service on-site.
• Complete all relevant paperwork accurately.
