Job summary

South57 Recruitment is recruiting an experienced Class 2 Shunter Driver for a long-established client in Milton Keynes. You will shunt Class 2 vehicles on site and move trailers safely between designated areas, while maintaining daily vehicle checks.

Immediate start available. The role offers pay at £22.47–£24.43 per hour with a weekend bonus of £61.15 per shift, and diverse shift patterns within a busy transport operation. Reliability and a good understanding of site procedures are essential.

Qualifications

• Class 2 licence held for driving shunter operations.
• Experience shunting vehicles on-site preferred.
• Reliable and punctual with good safety awareness.

Pay Rate: £22.47 – £24.43 per hour
Weekend Bonus: £61.15 per weekend shift

The Role

• Shunting Class 2 vehicles around the site
• Moving trailers and vehicles safely between designated areas
• Carrying out vehicle checks
• Following site procedures and health and safety requirements
• Working as part of a busy transport operation

Requirements

• Valid Class 2 (C) licence held for a minimum of 2 years
• Minimum 180 days of tacho activity within the last 2 years
• Previous shunting experience preferred
• Reliable and punctual
• Good understanding of vehicle safety and site procedures
