Job summary

South57 Recruitment is seeking an experienced Class 2 Shunter Driver for a Milton Keynes site. You will shunt Class 2 vehicles, move trailers safely between designated areas, and carry out routine checks to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with site procedures.

The role offers hourly pay of £22.47–£24.43 plus a weekend bonus of £61.15 per weekend shift. Shifts are varied and start is immediate; reliability and punctuality are essential to keep a busy transport operation running smoothly.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 2 (C) licence held for a minimum of 2 years.
• Minimum 180 days of tachograph activity within the last 2 years.
• Previous shunting experience preferred.
• Reliable and punctual.
• Good understanding of vehicle safety and site procedures.

Responsibilities

• Shunting Class 2 vehicles around the site.
• Moving trailers and vehicles safely between designated areas.
• Carrying out vehicle checks.
• Following site procedures and health and safety requirements.
• Working as part of a busy transport operation.
