Job summary

NWH Group in Mayfield is seeking a Class 2 HGV Driver (Skips or Hook) to join our waste management team. You will safely operate skip/hook vehicles on scheduled routes, load and transport skips, and perform daily vehicle checks while maintaining logs.

We offer a 45-hour week with overtime, a competitive hourly rate of £15.15, weekly pay, training and progression opportunities, uniform and PPE, and a strong commitment to safety and sustainability.

Qualifications

• A full, valid Class 2 (Category C) HGV licence.
• No more than 6 points on your licence.
• Valid CPC and Digital Tacho Card.
• A great attitude and commitment to performing the job to the highest standard.
• Previous waste/recycling driving experience is preferred, but not essential - we provide comprehensive training.

Responsibilities

• Safely operating skip/ hook vehicles on scheduled routes
• Loading, unloading, and transporting skips and containers
• Conducting daily safety and vehicle checks; keeping vehicle logs updated
• Following road safety laws and company policies at all times
• Delivering excellent customer service at collection/delivery points

What Will You Be Doing?

As a Class 2 HGV Skips or Hook Driver, you will play a key role in our operations by:

Safely operating skip/ hookvehicles on scheduled routes

Loading, unloading, and transporting skips and containers

Conducting daily safety and vehicle checks; keeping vehicle logs updated

Following road safety laws and company policies at all times

Delivering excellent customer service at collection/delivery points

What Are We Looking For?

A full, valid Class 2 (Category C) HGV licence.

No more than 6 points on yourlicence
