The Best Connection is recruiting a Class 2 Ro-Ro Driver for a busy waste management operation in Doncaster, DN3 1QR. This day-shift role runs Monday to Friday, 06:00 - 16:00, with no weekend work and a potential permanent position after an initial 3-month period.

You will operate a Class 2 vehicle, collect and deliver Ro-Ro containers to customer sites, perform pre/post-trip checks, and complete delivery paperwork. Training is provided if Ro-Ro experience is limited.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 2 (Category C) Licence.
• Minimum 6 months' Class 2 driving experience.
• Maximum of 3 penalty points on licence.
• Valid CPC Qualification Card.
• Valid Digital Tachograph Card.
• Ro-Ro experience preferred but training can be provided.
• Good communication skills and a professional attitude.
• Reliable and safety-conscious approach to work.

Responsibilities

• Operating a Class 2 (Category C) vehicle safely and efficiently.
• Collecting and delivering Ro-Ro containers to commercial customer sites.
• Carrying out daily vehicle checks and reporting defects.
• Completing all relevant delivery and collection paperwork.

Job Title: Class 2 Ro-Ro Driver

Location: Doncaster, DN3 1QR

Pay Rate: £15.45 per hour

Times and Days of Work: Monday to Friday, 06:00 - 16:00 (usually finished earlier)

Position Type: Temporary to Permanent (3-month initial period)

The Best Connection is proud to be recruiting on behalf of our client for a Class 2 Ro-Ro Driver to join a busy waste management and recycling operation based in Doncaster, DN3 1QR. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated and reliable driver looking for long-term work with the potential to secure a permanent position after an initial 3-month period.

Previous Roll-On Roll-Off (Ro-Ro) experience would be advantageous; however, full training will be provided for the right candidate should suitable Ro-Ro experienced drivers prove difficult to source.

About the Role

Working Monday to Friday on day shifts, you will be responsible for the collection, delivery, and exchange of Ro-Ro containers across customer sites. This role offers excellent work-life balance with no weekend working and the opportunity to become a permanent member of the team.
