Job summary

The NWH Group is looking for a Class 2 HGV Skips/Hook Driver to join our team in Scotland. You will operate skip/hook vehicles on scheduled routes, load and transport skips, and perform daily safety checks while maintaining accurate logs.

Requirements include a valid Class 2 licence, CPC, and Digital Tachograph Card, with no more than 6 points. Overtime is paid after 45 hours, and training is provided.

Qualifications

• Class 2 (C) licence is mandatory.
• CPC and Digital Tachograph Card required.
• No more than 6 points on licence.

Responsibilities

• Safely operating skip/hook vehicles on scheduled routes.
• Loading, unloading, and transporting skips and containers.
• Carrying out daily safety and vehicle checks; keeping logs up to date.
• Following road safety laws and company policies at all times.
• Delivering excellent customer service at collection/delivery points.

Hours: 45 hours per week with overtime options available

Rate of Pay: £15.15 per hour

Overtime: Overtime paid at time and a half after 45 hours

What Will You Be Doing?

As a Class 2 HGV Skips/ Hook Driver, you will play a key role in our operations by:

• Safely operating skip/ hookvehicles on scheduled routes
• Loading, unloading, and transporting skips and containers
• Conducting daily safety and vehicle checks; keeping vehicle logs updated
• Following road safety laws and company policies at all times
• Delivering excellent customer service at collection/delivery points

What Are We Looking For?

• A full, valid Class 2 (Category C) HGV licence.
• No more than 6 points on yourlicence
• Valid CPC and Digital Tacho Card.
• A great attitude and commitment to performing the job to the highest standard.
• Previous waste/recycling driving experience is preferred, but not essential -we provide comprehensive training.
