Job summary

New Resource Recruitment is seeking a reliable HGV Class 2 Refuse Driver to join our established waste management operation in Cheltenham. This permanent, full-time role offers a 37-hour week and ongoing training, with a strong emphasis on safety and customer service.

You will operate a Class 2 vehicle, complete daily routes, and work with the loading crew to ensure efficient collections while maintaining professional conduct with the public.

Qualifications

• Full UK Class 2 (Category C) driving licence is required.
• Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
• Previous Class 2 driving experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a Class 2 (Category C) refuse collection vehicle.
• Complete daily collection routes in Cheltenham and surrounding areas.
• Work with loading crew to ensure efficient collections.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and report defects.
• Follow health and safety procedures at all times.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced and reliable HGV Class 2 Driver looking for a stable, full-time position with a great work-life balance.

Working as part of a dedicated refuse collection team, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient collection of household and commercial waste across the local area while delivering excellent customer service.

• Safely operate a Class 2 (Category C) refuse collection vehicle.
• Complete daily collection routes in Cheltenham and the surrounding areas.
• Work closely with the loading crew to ensure collections are completed efficiently.

• Complete relevant paperwork and use onboard systems where required.
• Maintain a professional and courteous approach when interacting with the public.

Requirements

• Full UK Class 2 (Category C) driving licence.

• Previous Class 2 driving experience is preferred.
• Good understanding of driver hours and road transport legislation.
• Reliable, punctual and safety-conscious.
