Job summary

The Staffing Network Ltd is recruiting an experienced HGV Class 2 Refuse Driver to join our waste collection team in the UK. You will operate a refuse collection vehicle, collect waste from residential and commercial properties, and work with loaders to ensure efficient bin collection.

Key requirements include 90+ days HGV Class 2 experience in the last 6 months, UK Cat C licence, Driver CPC, and a valid Tachograph card.

Qualifications

• 90+ days HGV Class 2 experience within last 6 months.
• Valid UK HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence (minimum 6 months).
• Driver CPC qualification.
• Digital Tachograph (Tacho) card.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience in waste/recycling is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Drive a Class 2 refuse collection vehicle safely and efficiently.
• Collect refuse from various local areas each day.
• Work with loaders to empty bins from residential and commercial premises.
• Assist with moving domestic wheelie bins when required.
• Maintain awareness of pedestrians, other vehicles, and surroundings for safe operation.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Drive and operate a Class 2 refuse collection vehicle safely and efficiently.
• Collect refuse from different local areas each day of the week.
• Work alongside loaders to collect and empty bins from residential and commercial premises.
• Assist with manually moving domestic wheelie bins when required.
• Maintain awareness of pedestrians, vehicles, and surroundings to ensure safe vehicle operation.
• Provide a professional waste management service to residents and businesses.

Requirements

• Minimum 90 days HGV Class 2 driving experience within the last 6 months.
• Valid UK HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence (minimum 6 months).
• Driver CPC qualification.
• Digital Tachograph (Tacho) card.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Professional attitude and strong work ethic.
• Previous experience within the waste or recycling industry would be advantageous
