Job summary

Driver Hire Winchester is recruiting for an experienced Class 2 (Cat C) HGV Multi-Drop Driver to join a well-established wholesale distribution client. You will deliver food and drink to retail and catering customers across the local region, with Monday to Friday shifts starting at 05:00 and a 38-hour week.

Responsibilities include safe multi-drop deliveries, vehicle checks, loading/unloading, and accurate POD completion.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 2 (Cat C) HGV licence.
• Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
• Previous Class 2 multi-drop delivery experience.
• Good geographical knowledge and confident route planning skills.
• Friendly, professional approach with excellent customer service skills.
• Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling duties.
• Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Safely complete scheduled multi-drop deliveries while providing outstanding customer service.
• Carry out daily vehicle safety inspections and report any defects.
• Load and unload deliveries using tail lifts and manual handling equipment where required.
• Accurately complete delivery paperwork and electronic proof of delivery (POD).
• Follow planned routes while complying with Drivers' Hours, Working Time Directive, and tachograph regulations.
• Maintain high standards of road safety, professionalism, and vehicle cleanliness.
• Work closely with the transport and warehouse teams to ensure deliveries are completed efficiently and on time.

Driver Hire Winchester is recruiting on behalf of one of our well-established wholesale distribution clients for an experienced Class 2 (Cat C) HGV Multi-Drop Driver. This is an excellent opportunity to join a professional and friendly team, delivering food and drink products to retail and catering customers across the local region.

The Class 2 (Cat C) Role

• Monday to Friday
• Start Time 05:00am
• 38 hours per week
• Multi-drop deliveries to retail stores, convenience shops, and catering customers
• Driving a modern 26-tonne Class 2 vehicle
