Job summary

Pickfords is seeking a self-motivated leader to manage a regional branch in the manager’s absence, delivering superior customer service and ensuring safety, discipline, and workmanship standards are maintained across staff.

You will be responsible for directing teams, liaising with customers and ensuring compliance with working time directives and O License regulations. Travel to multiple locations may be required; flexibility for weekends.

Qualifications

• GCSE Maths and English or equivalent.
• Candidate will obtain valid LGV (category C or C+E).
• Candidate will obtain valid Drivers CPC Certificate.
• Compliant with established legal tachograph procedures and Attended Basic Practical Course and passed assessment.
• Attended Advanced Packing Skills Course and passes assessment.
• Attended Supervisory/Team Leader Skills Course and passed assessment.
• Attended Customer Service training (as available) and Attended Introduction to Management training (as available).
• Attended Health & Safety/Risk Assessment training (as available). andAttended FLT training, where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Manage a Regional Branch in the Manager's absence.
• Direct and control team members, liaising directly with customers and ensuring safety and standards are maintained.
• Lead and motivate staff with strong supervisory and leadership skills.
• Ensure compliance with O License regulations and Working Time Directive.
• Be able to brief and debrief move teams and take appropriate action.
• When not directed, perform Move Controller duties as required.
