Job summary

GXO Logistics, Inc. is hiring a Class 2 HIAB Driver (Brick Grab) for the Store to Home team in Barnsley (S730TB). This full-time, permanent role runs Monday to Friday from 07:00, contracted to 40 hours per week, with an hourly rate of £15.76 and overtime at £23.64.

Includes 28 days’ leave, pension, dental plan, GP service, and extensive employee benefits. You’ll deliver B&Q products, manage returns, assist with loading, and inform customers about delivery ETAs with courtesy.

Qualifications

• A full UK driving licence with Category C entitlement.
• A valid HIAB licence with brick grab ticket (ALLMI or equivalent).
• A valid Driver Qualification Card (Driver CPC).
• A valid Digital Tachograph Card.
• No more than 6 current penalty points.
• No DR, DG, DD, BA, CD, AC, LC or TT99 endorsements with a conviction date within the previous 5 years.

Responsibilities

• Handle customer queries politely and effectively, ensuring every delivery arrives in excellent condition.
• Support B&Q with vehicle loading when needed, and notify Store/Hub office of any delivery issues.
• Keep customers informed of estimated delivery times and communicate any issues clearly and politely.
• Ensure goods are transported safely onto the kerbside and in an efficient manner.
