Job summary

GXO Logistics is hiring a Class 2 HIAB Driver (Brick Grab) for our Store to Home team in Barnsley. The role is full-time and permanent, Monday to Friday from 07:00, 40 hours per week.

Pay is £15.76 per hour (£32,780.80 annually) with overtime at £23.64 beyond 40 hours, plus 28 days leave, dental insurance, a pension, and access to GXO benefits and training platforms. You’ll handle deliveries, loading, and customer communications to ensure a high-quality service.

Qualifications

• UK driving licence with category C entitlement.
• Valid HIAB brick grab ticket (ALLMI or equivalent).
• Driver Qualification Card (Driver CPC) in date.
• Digital Tachograph card held and valid.
• No more than 6 penalty points on licence.
• No DR, DG, DD, BA, CD, AC, LC or TT99 endorsements in last 5 years.

Responsibilities

• Handle customer queries politely and effectively, ensuring deliveries arrive in excellent condition.
• Assist with loading deliveries and returns, supporting Store/Hub office and AOM to keep schedules on track.
• Keep customers informed of delivery times and any issues, communicating politely when delays occur.
• Ensure customer goods are transported safely to the kerbside and in an efficient manner.
