Job summary

Quality Service Recruitment Limited is recruiting reliable HGV Class 2 Drivers in Ilkeston for an ongoing temporary role offering weekday, daytime shifts and the chance to gain valuable commercial driving experience. You will deliver and collect across allocated routes, manage your workload and provide a professional service to customers.

You must hold a UK HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence, Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.

Newly passed your Class 2 and looking for your first regular driving role? We’re recruiting reliable HGV Class 2 Drivers in Ilkeston for an ongoing opportunity offering weekday work, regular daytime shifts and the chance to build valuable commercial driving experience.

This role is ideal for drivers looking to develop their skills in a customer-facing position, with consistent work and the opportunity to gain experience completing deliveries and collections across allocated routes.

You’ll be responsible for completing a mixture of deliveries and collections across your allocated routes, ensuring goods are transported safely and completed within the required timeframes.

Working independently throughout the day, you’ll follow your daily route, manage your workload and provide a professional and friendly service when dealing directly with customers.

Your responsibilities will include carrying out vehicle checks, ensuring loads are transported safely, managing your own schedule and representing the company professionally at each delivery or collection.

You’ll need to be confident working independently, comfortable dealing with customers and able to manage your route efficiently throughout the working day.

You’ll need a valid UK HGV Class 2 (Category C) driving licence, Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.

Newly passed Class 2 drivers are welcome to apply, and previous HGV Class 2 experience is advantageous but not essential. You’ll need a good knowledge of UK roads and driving regulations, a reliable and professional approach, strong communication and customer service skills, and the ability to work independently while managing your own route.

This is an ongoing temporary position offering regular weekday work and consistent hours. Continued work is available for reliable drivers, making this a good opportunity for anyone looking for a steady driving role.

You’ll work Monday to Friday, with early morning starts and regular daytime shifts. Additional hours may be required depending on workload, offering the opportunity for extra hours when needed.

The role pays £16.33 per hour PAYE, with regular Monday-to-Friday working and daytime shifts. You’ll also benefit from consistent hours and the opportunity to accrue up to 28 days’ annual leave pro rata.
