Job summary

QS Recruitment Ltd is seeking a dependable HGV Class 2 Driver in Ilkeston for regular weekday daytime work. You will be responsible for deliveries and collections across allocated routes, maintaining timelines and safety. Newly qualified drivers welcome, with weekends free from scheduled shifts.

The role offers ongoing temporary work with Monday–Friday shifts, a PAYE rate of £16.33 per hour, and the potential for up to 28 days’ annual leave pro rata. Visa sponsorship is not available.

Qualifications

• Valid UK HGV Class 2 licence with Category C entitlement.
• Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card are required.
• Strong communication skills essential for customer interactions.
• Ability to work independently and manage routes confidently.

Responsibilities

• Complete deliveries and collections across allocated routes.
• Carry out vehicle checks and ensure loads are secure.
• Maintain high standards of road safety and comply with regulations.
• Manage your own route and work day with a reliable, professional service for customers.
