Job summary

Driver Hire Grimsby & Scunthorpe is recruiting an experienced Class 2 (Category C) Driver for a regular, full-time temp-to-perm opportunity with a food distribution business.

You will perform multi-drop deliveries across Lincolnshire and Yorkshire, with early starts Tue-Sat, 37.5 hours per week, and £15.00 per hour. The role emphasizes professionalism and customer service during deliveries.

Driver Hire Grimsby & Scunthorpe are recruiting an experienced Class 2 (Category C) Driver for an excellent temp-to-perm opportunity with one of the region's established food distribution businesses.

This is a regular, full-time position with a genuine opportunity to become a permanent member of the customer's team following a successful qualifying period.

The job

You'll be carrying out multi-drop deliveries of chilled and ambient food products to commercial customers across Lincolnshire, Yorkshire and surrounding areas.

Your duties will include:

• Class 2 multi-drop deliveries
• Delivering to regular commercial customers
• Checking goods and completing delivery paperwork
• Carrying out daily vehicle checks
• Loading/unloading and some manual handling
• Ensuring deliveries arrive safely and on time
• Providing a professional and friendly service to customers

This isn't simply about getting from A to B. You'll regularly be dealing with customers, so we're looking for someone who is professional, approachable and takes pride in providing good service.

Hours

• Tuesday to Saturday
• 37.5 hours per week
• Early morning starts
• Sunday and Monday off
• Overtime may be available

The regular Tuesday-to-Saturday pattern means you'll know your working days in advance, while still having two consecutive days off each week.

Pay

£15.00 per hour

You'll be paid weekly through Driver Hire during the temporary qualifying period.

What we're looking for

You'll need:

• A full HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence
• Valid Driver CPC
• Digital Tachograph Card
• No more than 6 penalty points (no DD, DR or IN endorsements)
• To meet the relevant insurance requirements
• Good knowledge of Drivers' Hours and Working Time Regulations
• A reliable and professional approach

Previous Class 2 multi-drop experience would be a definite advantage.
