Driver Hire Grimsby & Scunthorpe is recruiting experienced HGV Class 2 drivers for a temp‑to‑perm role with a leading regional food distributor. You will perform multi‑drop deliveries, handle paperwork, and maintain high safety and service standards across Lincolnshire and nearby areas.

This position offers a steady career path with weekly pay during the temporary period and potential permanent placement after a qualifying period.

Qualifications

• HGV Class 2 (Category C) Licence required.
• Valid Driver CPC Qualification Card.
• Digital Tachograph Card.
• Maximum of 6 penalty points (No DD, DR or IN endorsements).
• Aged 25 or over for insurance purposes.
• Previous Class 2 multi‑drop delivery experience preferred.
• Knowledge of Drivers' Hours and Working Time Regulations.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Reliable, professional and flexible.

Responsibilities

• Delivering chilled and ambient food products to commercial customers.
• Multi‑drop deliveries across Lincolnshire, Yorkshire and surrounding areas.
• Carrying out vehicle checks and completing delivery paperwork.
• Providing excellent customer service at every delivery.
• Ensuring deliveries are completed safely, accurately and on time.
• Some manual handling as part of the role.
