Job summary

Adecco is hiring an HGV Refuse Collection Driver to join a team of valued key workers. The role features pre-planned routes, set start and finish times, and a strong emphasis on safety, customer service, and on-time performance.

You will be responsible for daily refuse and recycling collections, operating in-cab tech, completing real-time paperwork, and maintaining vehicles. A rewarding environment with opportunities for overtime and career development.

Qualifications

• Valid HGV Class 2 licence with no more than 6 points.
• Driver CPC is required.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Self-motivated and willing to undertake tasks.
• Clean drivers licence.
• Previous relevant experience desirable, but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Carry out refuse and recycling collections daily.
• Deploy safe lifting and handling techniques.
• Use in-cab technology and mobile devices as directed.
• Complete relevant paperwork in real time.
• Carry out daily inspections and reporting for machinery and vehicles, before and after use.
• Ensure the cleanliness of machinery and vehicles.
• Maintain excellent customer and client relations.
