Job summary

Sunbelt Rentals UK & Ireland is seeking a talented HGV Driver to join our team to ensure timely collection and deliveries from customer sites while consistently meeting or exceeding customer expectations.

You will operate commercial vehicles, keep vehicles safe and roadworthy, visit customer locations, and uphold legal and company safety requirements. We offer a real living wage, development opportunities, and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum of driving license category C with no more than 6 points.
• CPC Certified.
• Tachograph card.
• Proactive approach to safety of company vehicles and other drivers.
• Polite manner when visiting customer premises.
• Desirable: good geographical knowledge and industry experience.
• Desirable: ability to use IT systems.
• Desirable: FORS compliant.

Responsibilities

• Operating commercial vehicles for the transportation of goods.
• Ensuring the vehicle is safe and roadworthy before commencing any journey, as well as the safe loading, unloading and security of the vehicle load.
• Visiting customer locations, communicating with both internal and external customers.
• Ensuring that the legal and company safety requirements, alongside the working time directive regulations are adhered to at all time.
