Job summary
Bristol Waste Company is seeking a Class 2 Driver/Loader based at Bristol. You will drive the company vehicle, load, transport and unload waste and recycling materials to meet customer requirements and comply with safety and legal standards.
The role offers 39 hours per week with overtime opportunities. Benefits include a salary-sacrifice electric car scheme, a health plan, cycle to work and ongoing training with clear progression routes.
Qualifications
- Must hold valid Category C (Class 2) licence, Driver CPC and Tachograph card.
- Able to operate mobile IT equipment and complete daily paperwork accurately.
- Experience in waste, recycling or collections is desirable.
Responsibilities
- Drive/operate vehicles and equipment in accordance with safety procedures and legal requirements.
- Tipping of vehicle at approved facilities; load and unload waste materials per policy and legal requirements.
- Undertake training as required and maintain vehicle cleanliness and daily checks.
- Communicate clearly with supervisors, colleagues, customers and the public.
- Work flexibly between locations to provide operational cover across all services.
