Job summary

GI Group are recruiting a Class 2 Driver for a Warwick-based client. The role runs Monday to Friday with 10 hours guaranteed per shift. It is a temporary position until Christmas, with handball and possible multi-drop runs (up to 12 per shift).

Training will be provided on the job. You will need a Class 2/LGV C licence with at least 1 year of experience, a valid CPC and Tachograph, and no more than 6 points.

Qualifications

• Hold a Class 2 / LGV C licence entitlement with minimum 1 year experience.
• Must hold a valid CPC and Tachograph.
• No more than 6 points on licence (no TT/IN/CU/DR/DG/CD/DD codes).
• Over 21 years of age for insurance purposes.

Responsibilities

• Complete vehicle checks and defects paperwork.
• Handball and pushing trolleys; may include multi-drop runs (up to 12 per shift).
• Attend to training on the job and ensure customer service excellence.

Class 2 Driver - The Role:

The Class 2 driver position is due to run until Christmas, supporting our client with their peak period during the Festive season. Handball is to be expected pushing trolleys, and this position may include some multi-drop runs (Up to 12 per shift). This is a temporary transfer position and training will be provided on the job. The Class 2 driver will need to be confident in completing vehicle checks and completing any required defects paperwork.

The candidate:

• Will hold a Class 2 / LGV C licence entitlement, with minimum 1 years expereince
• Will hold a valid CPC and Tachograph
• Will have no more than 6 points on licence (no TT/IN/CU/DR/DG/CD/DD codes)
• Will be over 21 years of age for insurance purposes.
• Will be flexible and able to remain calm under pressure.
• Will have the ability to demonstrate excellent customer service and communication skills and an attention to detail is essential.
