Job summary

The Best Connection Oxford is seeking a reliable HGV Class 2 (Category C) Driver for removals in Wallingford. This hands-on role offers regular weekday hours and involves driving to customer sites, loading/unloading, and assisting with removals.

Salary is £16.50 per hour, with Monday to Friday shifts from 7am to 4pm and weekly pay. Immediate start available for suitable candidates with CPC, tachograph card and clean license.

Qualifications

• Valid Category C (Class 2) driving licence.
• Minimum 2 years' Class 2 driving experience.
• Driver CPC Qualification Card.
• Digital Tachograph Card.
• Maximum of 6 penalty points (no DD/DR/IN).
• Aged 21 or over for insurance.
• Physically fit and able to perform manual handling.
• Reliable, professional and a strong team player.

Responsibilities

• Drive a Class 2 (Category C) vehicle to transport the removals team to customer sites.
• Assist with safe removal and relocation of office furniture and equipment.
• Carry out runs to local recycling centres and dispose of materials safely.
• Load and unload vehicles.
• Work closely with the removals team to complete jobs efficiently.
• Deliver excellent customer service while representing the business.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a reliable driver who enjoys variety, teamwork, and keeping active throughout the working day.

Pay & Hours

• £16.50 per hour
• Monday to Friday
• 7am – 4pm
• Weekly pay every Friday

The Role

As a Class 2 Driver, your responsibilities will include:

• Driving a Class 2 (Category C) vehicle to transport the removals team to customer sites
• Assisting with the safe removal and relocation of office furniture and equipment
• Completing runs to the local recycling centre to dispose of materials safely
• Loading and unloading vehicles
• Working closely with the removals team to ensure jobs are completed efficiently
• Delivering excellent customer service while representing the business

What We're Looking For

• Valid Category C (Class 2) Driving Licence
• Minimum 2 years' Class 2 driving experience
• Valid Driver CPC Qualification Card
• Digital Tachograph Card
• Maximum of 6 penalty points (no DD, DR, IN or other major endorsements)
• Aged 21 or over for insurance purposes
• Physically fit and happy to undertake manual handling
• Reliable, professional and a strong team player
