Job summary

The Best Connection is seeking an experienced Class 2 HGV Driver for ongoing, full-time work at a busy distribution site in Telford. You will deliver and collect palletised goods using curtain side vehicles and be involved in long-distance routes across the UK.

You will need a valid UK Category C licence, Digi Tachograph Card, and Driver CPC, with at least 6 months of Class 2 experience. A professional, customer-facing approach is essential.

Qualifications

• Must hold valid UK Category C (Class 2) licence.
• Digi Tachograph Card required.
• Driver CPC qualification required.
• Minimum 6 months Class 2 driving experience.
• Good knowledge of UK road networks and tachograph regulations.
• Ability to load/unload as required.

Responsibilities

• Operate Class 2 (Category C) vehicles in a safe and compliant manner
• Transport palletised goods across the UK, including long-distance routes
• Load and unload vehicles when required (equipment provided where necessary)
• Ensure vehicle checks are completed daily
• Complete delivery paperwork and electronic logs accurately
• Maintain a professional and courteous approach at all times

Job Description

We are currently recruiting experienced Class 2 HGV Drivers for ongoing work at a busy Palletline distribution site based in Telford.

This role involves the delivery and collection of palletised goods using curtain side vehicles and double-decker units. The work includes a mix of long-distance haulage, some loading and unloading, and interaction with customers on delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate Class 2 (Category C) vehicles in a safe and compliant manner


• Transport palletised goods across the UK, including long-distance routes


• Load and unload vehicles when required (equipment provided where necessary)


• Ensure vehicle checks are completed daily


• Complete delivery paperwork and electronic logs accurately
