Job summary

Tailored Recruitment Partners Limited is recruiting on behalf of a well-established company in Dewsbury for an experienced Class 2 Driver. You will operate a Class 2 (Category C) vehicle, delivering animal by-products to customers on scheduled routes and completing paperwork accurately.

Main hours are Monday to Friday with start times between 5:00am and 6:00am and finishes typically between 2:00pm and 4:00pm. Expect 45-55 hours per week and 1-2 nights out with overnight allowance paid.

Qualifications

• Valid HGV Class 2 licence.
• Driver CPC qualification is required.
• Digital Tachograph Card is necessary.

• Safely operate a Class 2 vehicle.
• Deliver animal by-products to customers per routes.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and report defects.

Job description

Tailored Recruitment Partners are recruiting on behalf of a well-established and reputable company based in Dewsbury for an experienced Class 2 Driver.

Working Hours

Monday to Friday

Start times between 5:00am and 6:00am

Finish times typically between 2:00pm and 4:00pm

Average 45-55 hours per week

1-2 nights out per week, with overnight allowance paid

Pay

• £16.00 per hour for the first 40 hours worked each week
• £20.00 per hour for all hours worked over 40
• Paid nights out

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate a Class 2 (Category C) vehicle.
• Deliver animal by-products to customers in line with scheduled routes.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and report any defects.
• Ensure all deliveries are completed accurately and on time.
• Complete all relevant paperwork and comply with transport legislation.
• Maintain high standards of customer service and professionalism.
• Follow all health and safety, hygiene, and environmental procedures.

Requirements

• Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence.
• Valid Driver CPC qualification.
• Digital Tachograph Card.
• Good knowledge of driver hours and working time regulations.
• A positive, reliable, and professional attitude.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Previous Class 2 driving experience is preferred.
