Job summary

Platinum-Recruitment is seeking a Class 2 Driver for an established Swindon-based business. You will deliver and collect powered access equipment and related machinery across multiple depots, ensuring safe handling and timely deliveries.

The role requires a valid Class 2 licence, Digi Tacho card, and experience with powered access or plant equipment. Day shifts with a benefits package including a company car, fuel card and overtime opportunities are on offer.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 2 (Category C) driving licence.
• Digi Tacho card.
• Experience as Class 2/HGV or similar transport role.
• Experience delivering/collecting powered access equipment is essential.
• Knowledge of powered access, plant hire, forklift or specialist equipment sectors.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and collect powered access equipment, plant machinery, forklifts and other specialist equipment across multiple depot locations.
• Load, secure and transport equipment safely in line with company procedures and legal requirements.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and report any defects promptly.
• Ensure all deliveries and collections are completed safely, professionally and on time.
• Complete delivery paperwork and electronic records accurately.
• Provide excellent customer service when attending customer sites.
• Follow all transport legislation and health & safety procedures.

Key Responsibilities

As a Class 2 Driver, you will:

What we're looking for

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

• A valid Class 2 (Category C) driving licence
• Digital Tachograph (Digi Tacho) card
• Previous experience as a Class 2 Driver, HGV Driver or in a similar transport role
• Previous experience delivering, collecting or working with powered access equipment is essential
• Knowledge of powered access, plant hire, forklift or specialist equipment sectors
• A professional, safety-focused approach with excellent customer service skills
• Flexibility to support multiple depot locations when required
