Job summary

Platinum-Recruitment is seeking a Class 2 Driver in Romford, England to join a growing business with a modern fleet.

You will deliver and collect powered access equipment across depot locations, perform daily vehicle checks, and ensure safe, on-time deliveries.

Salary £35,000–£38,000 per year, plus a company car and fuel card, health cash plan, life assurance, overtime at enhanced rates, and profit share scheme.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 2 (Category C) driving licence.
• Digital Tachograph (Digi Tacho) card.
• Previous experience as a Class 2 Driver or similar transport role.
• Experience delivering/collecting powered access equipment is essential.
• Experience in Powered Access/Plant/Forklift/Crane or Agricultural sectors advantageous.
• Professional, safety-focused with strong customer service.
• Flexibility to support multiple depot locations.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and collect powered access equipment, plant machinery, forklifts and other specialist equipment across multiple depot locations.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and report any defects promptly.
• Ensure all deliveries and collections are completed safely, professionally and on time.
• Load, secure and transport equipment in line with company procedures and legal requirements.
• Complete delivery paperwork and electronic records accurately.
• Follow all transport legislation and health & safety procedures.

Key Responsibilities

As a Class 2 Driver, you will:

Deliver and collect powered access equipment, plant machinery, forklifts and other specialist equipment across multiple depot locations

Carry out daily vehicle checks and report any defects promptly

What we're looking for

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

A valid Class 2 (Category C) driving licence

Digital Tachograph (Digi Tacho) card

Previous experience as a Class 2 Driver, HGV Driver or in a similar transport role

• Previous experience delivering, collecting or working with powered access equipment is essential

Experience within the Powered Access, Plant, Hire, Forklift, Crane or Agricultural sectors would be advantageous

A professional, safety-focused approach with excellent customer service skills

Flexibility to support multiple depot locations when required
