Job summary

DFDS UK & Ireland is seeking a Class 2 Driver in Stornoway to join a supportive local team. The role involves delivering to local communities and businesses, with regular customer interaction and varied freight types. You will perform loading/unloading, complete paperwork, and ensure on-time deliveries.

Applicants should hold a valid Class 2 licence with Driver CPC and tachograph card. Multi-drop experience is a plus; independence and a customer‑focused mindset are essential.

• Dependable, customer-focused and able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Complete collections and deliveries across Stornoway and surrounding areas.
• Load and unload goods safely and efficiently.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and report defects.
• Ensure deliveries are completed accurately and on schedule.
• Complete delivery paperwork and maintain accurate records.
• Provide a professional and friendly service to customers.
• Follow all road transport legislation, company procedures and safety standards.

About the role

As a Class 2 Driver, you'll play a vital role in supporting local communities and businesses by ensuring goods are delivered safely, efficiently, and on time. This is a varied role involving collections and deliveries across the local area, with regular customer interaction and a mix of freight types.

You will be responsible for:

• Completing collections and deliveries across Stornoway and surrounding areas
• Loading and unloading goods safely and efficiently
• Carrying out daily vehicle checks and reporting any defects
• Ensuring deliveries are completed accurately and on schedule
• Completing delivery paperwork and maintaining accurate records
• Providing a professional and friendly service to customers
• Following all road transport legislation, company procedures, and safety standards

About you

You'll hold a valid Class 2 driving licence, along with a Driver CPC and digital tachograph card. Previous multi-drop or delivery experience would be beneficial but is not essential.

You'll thrive in this role if you're dependable, customer-focused, and able to work independently while managing your time effectively. Strong communication skills, a positive attitude, and a commitment to safety are essential.
