Job summary

Pure Staff Driving are seeking an experienced Class 2 Driver in Stoke to join a two-man team delivering produce to retailers and distributors. Start times typically between 0700 and 0900, Monday to Friday, with immediate starts available.

You'll handball with a driver mate, complete 12-15 drops per day within a 75-mile radius, and ensure loads are secure, paperwork is accurate, and customer service remains professional. Holiday pay accrues.

Qualifications

• Category C (Class 2) licence.
• Driver CPC / DQC valid.
• Digital Tachograph Card valid.
• Previous HGV driving experience.
• Multi-drop experience preferred.
• Good knowledge of drivers' hours and tachograph requirements.
• Reliable and punctual with good customer service.

Responsibilities

• Deliver produce to wholesalers and distributors as part of a two-man team.
• Handball with Driver Mate during deliveries.
• 12–15 drops per day within a 75-mile radius.
• Load/unload and check paperwork and products on the vehicle.
• Maintain vehicle and report defects.
• Represent client professionally and keep customers satisfied.

Class 2 Driver - £15ph - £16.81ph | Monday to Friday | Immediate Starts Available | Stoke

Pure Staff's Driving Team are currently recruiting an experienced Class 2 Driver in Stoke for be a apart of a two man team delivering their produce.

This role involves high levels of handball, so you will be going with a Drivers Mate, delivering produce to wholesalers and many food distributors, typically 12-15 drops.

Start times are typically between 0700 and 0900 Monday to Friday

Pay & Benefits for a Class 2 Driver

£15ph (+ accrued holiday pay ). Holiday is paid when you take annual leave.

£16.81 with your Holiday Pay rolled-up.

The Role

As a Class 2 you'll be delivering general produce to established retailers, food distributors and wholesalers throughout the local region. Typical duties include:

• Delivering car parts to industrial customers in a 75-mile radius.
• Loading/unloading of produce, with the assistance of a drivers mate
• Carefully delivering heavy items such as engines and oil drums
• Representing the client professionally and keeping customers satisfied
• Driving carefully and ensuring your assigned vehicle is well maintained and any defects are reported
• All paperwork and products on vehicle is checked to ensure accuracy with deliveries
• Consistent communication is maintained throughout shift
• Usually doing 12-15 regular deliveries of heavy goods per day

This role suits drivers who enjoy being on the road, take pride in their work and understand the importance of reliability and professionalism.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for an experienced Van Driver who have:

• Category C (Class 2) driving licence.
• Valid Driver CPC / DQC.
• Valid Digital Tachograph Card.
• Previous HGV driving experience.
• Multi-drop experience or confidence working within a busy multi-drop environment.
• Good understanding of Drivers' Hours, Working Time and tachograph requirements.
• Good customer-service and communication skills.Ability to safely load, unload and move stock.
• Reliability and good timekeeping.
• No more than 6 points on your licence.
