Job summary

Ignition Driver Recruitment is seeking Class 2 Drivers in Doncaster to work with a leading UK logistics and distribution organisation for a DIY retailer. You will operate in a two-person crew delivering to customer homes and handling heavy items with regular 06:30 starts.

Requirements include a Class 2 licence, UK DCPC, Digi-tacho, and at least 6 months of commercial driving experience. DBS check may be required on start. Weekly pay and overtime after 48 hours provided.

Qualifications

• Must have Class 2 Driving Licence and at least 6 months experience driving commercially.
• UK DCPC card and a valid Digi-tacho card are required.
• Minimum of 2 points on licence may be accepted, but certain endorsements are not allowed.
• Knowledge of WTD regulations and compliance requirements is expected.

Responsibilities

• Drive a Cat C Class 2 vehicle in a 2-person crew.
• Deliver products to customer homes with heavy lifting.
• Complete around 10–20 drops per day.

Shifts: AM shifts available - starts from 06:30am

Roles & Responsibilities

• Driving a Cat C Class 2 vehicle
• Working in a 2 Person Crew with a driver
• Delivering products to customer homes
• Heavy lifting will be required (white goods, worktops, units etc)
• Around 10-20 drops per day

This role may require you to complete a Driving Assessment before you can be allocated a shift. It is a customer facing role, so you will need to have a positive attitude and be friendly and helpful, and you must be smart and well presented at all times. You will have to complete a DBS check when you start.

About You / Qualifications

• You must have your Class 2 Driving Licence and at least 6 months experience driving commercially.
• You must also have your UK DCPC card and a valid Digi-tacho card.
• Our client may accept up to 6 points on your licence, but we cannot accept DD, TT, DR, CD, IN endorsements.
• As a professional Driver, you will be up to date with the WTD regulations and maintain your own compliance requirements.
• You must be a UK resident and have the relevant Right To Work documentation.
