Job summary

Ignition Driver Recruitment is seeking a Porter / Driver Mate in Southampton to join a leading logistics company. You will drive a Class 2 vehicle in a two‑person crew, delivering to customer homes with heavy lifting as needed. A DBS check is required to be considered.

Porter/Driver Mate - the role & responsibilities:

• Driving a Class 2 vehicle
• Working in a 2 Person Crew with aPorter
• Delivering products to Customer Homes
  • Heavy lifting required (Bathrooms and Kitchens)
• Checking Delivery notes and completing paperwork
• Using a handheld scanner to record deliveries

About you:

Youmusthave your Class 2 Driving Licence and 6 months previous experience doing multi-drop work.You must also have your UK DCPC card and a valid Digi-tacho card.Our client may accept up to 6 points on your licence, but we can not acceptDD, TT, DR, CD, INendorsements.

As a professional Driver, you will be up to date with the WTD regulations and maintain your own compliance requirements.

You will be a UK resident (we are unable to assist people with VISAs) and will be able to travel to and from the site for your shift.
