Job summary

Fifth Wheel Recruitment are seeking a Class 2 Driver for our Scunthorpe client in the cement, aggregates and ready-mix sectors. The role offers a fixed Monday to Friday pattern with 06:30 starts, weekly pay and overtime opportunities.

You must have a Class 2 licence with 12 months of commercial experience, UK DCPC and a Digi-tacho card. Endorsements DD/TT/DR/CD/IN are not accepted, and a valid DCPC is essential.

Qualifications

• You must hold a Class 2 Driving Licence and have at least 12 months of commercial driving experience.
• UK DCPC card and a valid Digi-tacho card are required.
• Knowledge of WTD regulations is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Operate HGV Class 2 vehicles.
• Perform mixer work with training provided if required.
• Carry out routine vehicle checks and keep trailer and cab clean.
• Ensure loads are secured and documented correctly.
• Complete daily paperwork accurately.

Pay Rate: £16.12 to £18.06 p/h

Working Hours: Monday to Friday (06:30 start times)

Overtime: Occasional Saturdays

Experience: 12 months Class 2 essential - MPQC qual beneficial

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Operating HGV Class 2 vehicles

All applicants are expected to complete work to a high standard while following site safety procedures.

About you:

You will have your Class 2 Driving Licence and at least 12 months experience driving commercially. You must also have your UK DCPC card and a valid Digi-tacho card. Our client may accept up to 6 points on your licence, but we can not accept DD, TT, DR, CD, IN endorsements. As a professional Driver, you will be up to date with the WTD regulations.

Previous experience working with cement/aggregates would be beneficial.

You will be a UK resident and will be able to travel to and from the site for your shift. We are unable to assist with VISA applications and cannot assist with relocation.
