Job summary

FTH Hire Group in Reading is looking for a Class 2 driver to operate 16T or 26T lorries, delivering plant equipment to customers and construction sites. You will ensure safe loading, unloading and transport while complying with Road Safety rules.

Join a small team and benefit from a generous bonus scheme, pension auto-enrolment and several employee perks. Monday to Friday, 7:00am–5:00pm, with no weekends.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current CAT C license or above.
• Driver qualification card (DCPC) required.
• A valid Digital Tachograph Card.
• Good geographical knowledge of the home counties area.
• Knowledge of tachograph legalisation.
• Must be fit and active to load/unload machinery.

Responsibilities

• Drive one of our 16T or 26T lorries delivering plant equipment.
• Ensure safe transportation to customers and construction sites.
• Adhere to all Road Safety regulations and legal requirements.
• Work well as part of a small team to provide excellent service.

The main purpose of this role will be driving one of our 16T or 26T lorries, delivering plant equipment to our customers and construction sites. You will ensure safe transportation of goods to and from various destinations efficiently whilst adhering to all legal requirements of Road Safety.

Knowledge, skills and experience required for our Class 2 Driver:

• Must hold a current CAT C license or above
• Driver qualification card required (DCPC)
• A valid Digital Tachograph Card
• Should have good geographical knowledge of the home counties area
• Good understanding of tachograph legalisation
• Must be fit and active as you will be loading and unloading machinery from the vehicle.
