Job summary

The Recruitment Crowd are recruiting on behalf of a well known client at the Radlett Depot for multiple Class 2 drivers. You will perform collections and deliveries with up to 5 stops per delivery and up to 15 stops for collections, Monday to Friday starting at 08:30.

You will handle manual handling, use company software to update statuses, and conduct pre- and post-trip inspections to maintain safety and compliance on the road.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence with Class 2 entitlement (CAT C).
• 6 months driving experience required.
• Valid DCPC and Digital Tachograph card.

Responsibilities

• Perform collections and deliveries with up to 5 delivery stops and up to 15 collection stops.
• Assist with manual handling, loading and unloading at depots and customer sites.
• Use company software to update delivery statuses and communicate with dispatch.
• Assist with movement of cages and equipment when required.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and ensure roadworthiness.
• Adhere to traffic laws, safety policies, and company standards during journeys.

The Recruitment Crowd are currently recruiting on behalf of our well known and industry-leading client based in the Radlett Depot. We are looking for multiple Class 2 drivers to join the team.

Hours: Monday to Friday 08:30am starts

Pay Rates: £17.92 PAYE Per Hour, over time after 40 hours £26.10 per hour PAYE

Location: AL2 2FL

The role:

• Collections and deliveries required (deliveries will be up to 5 stops and collections up to 15 stops)
• Manual handling heavily involved including loading and unloading parcels at depots and customer locations.
• Handling devices and company software to update delivery statuses
• Handle occasional push roller cages as needed, assisting sites with movement when required.
• Reversing in the yard and manoeuvring vehicles with precision, including shunting duties when required.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of assigned vehicle, ensuring roadworthiness and compliance with company standards.
• Adhere to all relevant traffic laws, regulations, and company policies to maintain a high level of safety on the road.
• Effectively communicate with dispatch and logistics teams to ensure timely deliveries and pickups.

Requirements:

• Full UK licence with Class 2 entitlement (CAT C)
• 6 months experience required.
• Valid and in date DCPC and Digital Tachograph card.
• No more than 6 points on licence (minor offences only).
• Full understanding of WTD legislation.
• Excellent communication skills.
• A safety-first mindset.
