Job summary

DHL Supply Chain is recruiting a Class 2 HGV Driver for Allington, Kent. You will deliver bulky items with a Driver Mate, serving Kent, Surrey and South London. Expect 48 hours per week on a 3-week rota with start times around dawn.

Applicants should hold a valid HGV C license with CPC, a Tachograph card, and be able to pass a Basic DBS check funded by DHL. Benefits include generous leave and pension contributions.

Qualifications

• HGV 2 Licence (C) and Driver CPC required.
• Digital Tachograph Card required.
• No more than 6 points on licence.
• Experience in home delivery or doorstep service preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver bulky items to customers with a Driver Mate.
• Cover deliveries around Kent, Surrey and South London.
• Drive safely and in line with drivers' hours rules and Highway Code.
• Conduct routine vehicle checks and report issues.

We're now looking for a Class 2 HGV Driver to play a key role ensuring our operations run smoothly and efficiently, delivering goods safely and on time. We are happy to consider newly qualified drivers

A TYPICAL DAY WILL INVOLVE

• Delivering bulky items to customers homes such as beds, mattresses, wardrobes etc alongside a Drivers Mate
• Deliveries will be in and around , Kent, Surrey and South London
• Driving in a safe and efficient manner in line with Drivers' Hours and Working Time Directive regulations
• Complying with our health and safety standards at all times, ensuring adherence to The Highway Code, road safety rules and vehicle regulations
• Regular completion of vehicle checks

THIS ROLE WOULD SUIT PEOPLE WHO

• Hold a valid HGV 2 Driving License (C), Driver CPC Qualification and Digital Tachograph Card
• Have no more than 6 points on driving license
• Have experience of home delivery
• Have face to face customer service skills
• Are willing to complete a Basic DBS check (Funded by DHL)
