Job summary

DHL Supply Chain is seeking a Class 2 HGV Driver for permanent, full-time work at Allington, Kent. The role features a 48-hour week and a 3-week rota (4 on/2 off, 4 on/2 off, 5 on/2 off) with a 5:30am start, delivering goods to homes with a Driver Mate and performing routine vehicle checks.

You will drive safely, comply with hours rules and the Highway Code, and provide excellent service to customers while supporting efficient routes across Kent, Surrey and South London.

Qualifications

• Hold a valid HGV 2 Driving License (C), Driver CPC Qualification and Digital Tachograph Card.
• Have no more than 6 points on driving license.
• Have experience of home delivery.
• Have face to face customer service skills.
• Are willing to complete a Basic DBS check (Funded by DHL).

Responsibilities

• Delivering bulky items to customers homes such as beds, mattresses, wardrobes etc alongside a Drivers Mate
• Deliveries will be in and around Kent, Surrey and South London
• Driving in a safe and efficient manner in line with Drivers' Hours and Working Time Directive regulations
• Complying with our health and safety standards at all times, ensuring adherence to The Highway Code, road safety rules and vehicle regulations
• Regular completion of vehicle checks
