Job summary

DHL Asia Pacific Shared Services in Hatfield (AL10 9BD) seeks a Class 2 Home Delivery Driver. You will deliver bulky household items to customers, assist with loading and unloading, and work in a two-person delivery team.

The role is a permanent full-time position with 3-shift rotation, 6am starts, and a supportive benefits package including 24/7 GP service, discounts, enhanced pension and employee support.

Qualifications

• Hold a valid HGV Class 2 Driving License (C), Driver CPC Qualification and Digital Tachograph Card
• Will accept newly qualified drivers

Responsibilities

• Deliver a range of bulky household items to customers' homes
• Assist with loading and unloading goods using safe manual handling
• Complete between 15–35 deliveries per day on assigned routes
• Work as part of a two-person delivery team with a Driver's Mate or another Driver
• Drive safely and adhere to Drivers' Hours and Working Time Directive
• Maintain Health & Safety standards and comply with the Highway Code and vehicle rules

Shift patterns: 3 shift rotation: 5 On 2 Off, 4 On 2 Off and 4 On 2 Off - Tuesday to Saturday (can be flexible) 6am start & 10 hour Days

WHAT DOES THE ROLE ENTAIL?

As part of your normal duties, whilst maintaining excellent health and safety practices, you will:

• Deliver a range of bulky household items, including wardrobes, beds, mattresses, and sofas, directly to customers' homes
• Take an active role in loading and unloading goods, using safe manual handling techniques
• Complete between 15–35 deliveries per day, depending on your assigned route
• Work as part of a two-person delivery team, partnering with a Driver's Mate or another qualified Driver
• Drive safely and efficiently at all times, fully adhering to Drivers' Hours and Working Time Directive regulations
• Maintain the highest standards of health and safety, always following the Highway Code, road safety guidelines, and vehicle compliance rules
