Job summary

Essential Workforce Limited is seeking experienced Class 2 Drivers for ongoing general haulage roles in the Greater London area. Early starts (0600) Monday to Friday, with day (£16.00) and night (£17.00) shifts.

You will be delivering and collecting for various customers, performing loading/unloading and vehicle checks, with an emphasis on safety and accuracy. The successful candidates will have a valid Class 2 licence, CPC and Digital Tachograph Card, plus experience in general haulage.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 2 licence.
• Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
• Previous Class 2/general haulage experience.
• Physically fit due to the manual handling involved.
• Comfortable with heavy lifting and loading/unloading.
• Good knowledge of UK roads.
• Reliable and professional attitude.
• Good communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver general haulage to a variety of customers and sites.
• Load and unload cargo as required.
• Carry out vehicle checks and complete relevant paperwork.

Rate for Days £16.00 and Nights £17.00

The Role

• 0600 starts Monday to Friday
• General haulage deliveries and collections
• Deliveries to a variety of customers and sites
• Loading and unloading involved
• Regular manual handling and heavy lifting
• Vehicle checks and completion of relevant paperwork
