Job summary

Essential Workforce Limited is actively recruiting experienced HGV Class 1 (C+E) drivers for regular curtain-side general haulage across the UK. One role runs Mon/Tue/Thu/Fri with 06:00 start and 12-hour shifts; another runs Mon-Fri with 10:00 starts for trunking.

You will be responsible for curtain-side deliveries, securing loads, and adhering to drivers' hours regulations. This position offers consistent Monday-to-Friday work and weekly payments.

Qualifications

• Valid C+E (Class 1) licence.
• Valid Driver CPC.
• Valid Digital Tachograph Card.
• Curtain-side/general haulage experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Strap and secure loads.
• Complete daily vehicle checks.
• Complete relevant paperwork.
• Ensure loads are transported safely and securely.
• Work within Drivers' Hours and Working Time regulations.

Essential Workforce is recruiting experienced HGV Class 1 (C+E) Drivers for regular, ongoing general haulage curtain-side work. This is an excellent opportunity for Class 1 drivers looking for permanent work.

The Role

Class 1 curtain-side general haulage

Deliveries and collections across the UK

1 role is Monday/Tuesday/Thursday/Friday 0600 12 hour shifts

1 role is Monday to Friday 1000 starts trunking

Curtain-side vehicles

• Strapping and securing loads
• Completing daily vehicle checks
• Completing relevant paperwork
• Ensuring loads are transported safely and securely
• Working within Drivers' Hours and Working Time regulations

Requirements

• Valid C+E (Class 1) licence
• Valid Driver CPC
• Valid Digital Tachograph Card
• Previous curtain-side/general haulage experience preferred
• Confident with strapping and load security
• Good knowledge of UK roads
• Professional and reliable approach
