Job summary

Palletforce Logistics in Erith (UK) is seeking a Class 2 Driver for a full-time role. You will deliver goods to diverse locations, perform routine vehicle checks and maintain high safety and service standards.

Ideal candidates have a valid Class 2 licence with C+E, CPC training and a digital tachograph card, plus a flexible approach to weekends and multi-drop routes.

Qualifications

• Refrigeration experience is preferred but not essential.
• Minimum experience: 6 months.
• Valid Digital Tachograph card is essential.
• Completed CPC training course is required.
• Class 2 Driving Licence (C+E) is required.
• Valid CPC and Digital tachograph cards are needed.

Responsibilities

• Use of a handheld terminal to record accurate information.
• Deliver goods to various locations while observing safety.
• Maintain cleanliness of vehicle.
• Drive Class 2 vehicle safely and responsibly.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks for roadworthiness.
• Inform the transport office of any problems in good time.
• Be fit to drive, considering substances and rest requirements.
• Attend on time to your shifts and routes.
• Provide excellent customer service.
• Maintain health and safety standards.
• Operate in a safe manner and follow road rules.
• Ensure paperwork is correct and returned to the transport office.

Class 2 Driver | Full time | Erith

THE ROLE

Our drivers are one of the most important roles within Palletforce Logistics, and as a fully qualified Class 2 Driver, you will have the important role of delivering products to our customers whilst being safe and taking care of yourself on the road.

KEY RESPONSIBILITES:

• Use of a handheld terminal to record accurate information
• Occasionally driving 3.5t vehicles during peak periods
• Maintain cleanliness of vehicle
• Driving Class 2 vehicle safely and responsibly
• Ensure you do your daily vehicle checks to make sure your vehicle is roadworthy and safe to use
• Ensure you inform the transport office of any problems in good time i.e. if you’re running late
• Fit to drive; considering alcohol intake, daily rest, prescribed/over the counter medication that could affect your ability to drive
• To ensure you arrive at your job on time
• Excellent customer service
• Maintain health and safety standards
• Operating in a safe way, following all road rules
• Ensure all paperwork is correct, completed and returned to the transport office
• Delivering goods to various locations

OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

• Refrigeration experience is preferred but not essential

• Class 2 Driving License (C+E)
• Valid CPC, Digital tacho cards
• Flexibility
• Strong logistical and geographical knowledge
• Good communication skills
• Multi-drop experience preferred
• Ability to be adaptable and flexible with start & finish times
• Fully completed driver CPC
• HGV / LGV Class 2 licence with at least 12 months experience
• Be able to work weekends
• Good work Ethic
