Job summary

EV Cargo in Erith seeks a Class 1 Trunk Driver for night shifts. You will deliver goods safely, perform daily vehicle checks and keep accurate paperwork for the transport office. A minimum of 6 months’ driving experience, Class 1 (C+E), CPC and a Digital Tachograph card are required.

Salary is £44,100 per year with a £50 weekly driver bonus, plus a benefits package including generous annual leave and an excellent pension scheme.

Class 1 Trunk Driver - Nights | Full time | Erith Palletforce Logistics is a leading pallet distribution company dedicated to providing efficient and reliable services to our clients. We pride ourselves on our commitment to excellence and our supportive work environment.

THE ROLE

Our drivers are one of the most important roles within Palletforce Logistics, and as a fully qualified Class 1 Driver, you will have the important role of delivering products to our customers whilst being safe and taking care of yourself on the road.

THE SALARY

£44100 per year plus a £50 weekly drivers bonus

KEY RESPONSIBILITES:

• Maintain cleanliness of vehicle;
• Driving Class 1 vehicle safely and responsibly;
• Ensure you do your daily vehicle checks to make sure your vehicle is roadworthy and safe to use;
• Ensure you inform the transport office of any problems in good time i.e. if you’re running late;
• Fit to drive; considering alcohol intake, daily rest, prescribed/over the counter medication that could affect your ability to drive;
• To ensure you arrive at your job on time;
• Excellent customer service;
• Maintain health and safety standards;
• Operating in a safe way, following all road rules;
• Ensure all paperwork is correct, completed and returned to the transport office;
• Delivering goods to various locations.

OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

• Minimum experience: 6 months;
• Valid Digital Tachograph card is essential;
• Completed CPC training course;
• Class 1 Driving License (C+E);
• Valid CPC,Digital tacho cards;
• Flexibility;
• Strong logistical and geographical knowledge;
• Good communication skills;
• Ability to be adaptable and flexible with start & finish times;
• Fully completed driver CPC;
• HGV / LGV Class 1 licence with at least 6 months experience;
