Job summary

Deutsche Post DHL Group in Daventry is seeking a Class 2 HGV Driver to join our UK operations. The role supports our 4 on 4 off shift pattern and requires safe driving, vehicle checks and completion of handovers with care.

The position offers permanent, full-time status with overtime and shift allowances, on-site facilities, and a strong pension scheme. Interviews are scheduled in the coming weeks for qualified candidates.

Qualifications

• HGV Class 2 licence and Driver CPC required.
• Digital Tachograph Card required.
• 12 months driving experience preferred, new passes considered.
• Flexible, polite and physically fit.

Responsibilities

• Drive safely and efficiently in line with regulations.
• Complete vehicle checks regularly.
• Handle manual loading/unloading of goods.
• Occasional night shifts may be required.

Pay Rate: £44,814.32 + any overtime and shift allowances.
Grade: Collective Agreement
Contract Type: Permanent (Full-Time)
Shift patterns: 4 on 4 off start times from Midnight to 07.00
Location: JD Wetherspoon Daventry NN11 8NF

play a key role ensuring our operations run smoothly and efficiently, delivering goods safely and on time.

A TYPICAL DAY MAY INVOLVE

• Driving in a safe and efficient manner in line with Drivers' Hours and Working Time Directive regulations
• Complying with our health and safety standards at all times, ensuring adherence to The Highway Code, road safety rules and vehicle regulations
• Regular completion of vehicle checks
• Manual handling of customer products
• Moving cages off vehicle via a tail lift
• The occasional night out may be required.
• Around 4-8 drops a day.

THIS ROLE WOULD SUIT PEOPLE WHO

• Hold a valid HGV Class 2 Driving Licence (C), Driver CPC Qualification and Digital Tachograph Card
• Ideally have 12 months recent driving experience although new passes will be considered.
• Are flexible and polite.
• Are physically fit.
