Job summary

GXO Logistics, Inc. in Crawley seeks an experienced Class 2 Delivery Driver for a full-time, permanent role on a 3-week rotating shift pattern. You will deliver from warehouses to customers' homes, with starts between 05:00 and 06:30, and a 48-hour week.

Here at GXO Logistics, we are looking for a full-time, permanent Class 2 Delivery Driver, to join our Home Delivery team in Crawley, Sussex RH11 7SU.

You’ll be working on a full time, permanent basis on a 3 week rotating shift pattern: Week 1, Monday to Thursday. Week 2, Wednesday to Saturday. Week 3, Monday, Tuesday, Friday and Saturday (4 working days) contracted to work 48 hours per week, with the start time window between 05:00 and 06:30.

The Home Delivery Driver is responsible for delivery products from warehouses or distribution centres to customers' residences.

All successful candidates will require a DBS clearance.

What you'll do on a typical day:

• Safely operate a 7.5 tonne vehicle in full compliance with road traffic and vehicle legislation, including complete tachographs in compliance with legal and company requirements
• Deliver products to customers, providing excellent customer service, ensuring all items are handled correctly. Some hand balling involved and assemble/ install furniture items at customers' homes according to manufacturer instructions, if assembly service is provided (client dependant)
• Collect and accurately log product returns during deliveries
• Complete tachographs in compliance with legal and company requirements
• Conduct pre- and post-journey vehicle checks and promptly report any defects

What you need to succeed at GXO:

• A full UK Class 2 driving licence, or 7.5T grandfather entitlement
• A valid Driver Qualification Card
• A valid Digital Tachograph Card
• No more than 6 current penalty points
• No DR, DG, DD, BA, CD, LC or TT99 endorsements with a conviction date within the previous 5 years
