Job summary

GXO Logistics, Inc. in Rotherham is seeking a Class 2 Driver to join our team. You will be responsible for the safe and timely delivery of products to customers, ensuring all vehicle checks are completed and transport regulations are followed.

You will be working on a full‑time, permanent basis, averaging 48 hours per week, with shifts of approximately 9.6 hours per day. Start times can be from 4:00am, depending on operational requirements.

Qualifications

• Hold a valid Class 2 licence.
• No more than 6 penalty points on your licence (no DD, DR, DG, BA, CD, AC, LC or TT endorsements).
• Up-to-date CPC and Digital Tachograph.
• Commitment to safety and compliance with driving regulations.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work on your initiative.

Responsibilities

• Carry out deliveries to various GXO depots.
• Routes can vary depending on start time.
• May be involved in loading and unloading the vehicle/trailer.
• Manual handling.
• Communicate effectively with the transport office regarding delays, issues, or changes and ensure paperwork is completed accurately.
• Guarantee the safe and legal operation of HGV vehicles, completing safety checks before leaving site and on return.

You will be working on a full‑time, permanent basis, averaging 48 hours per week, with shifts of approximately 9.6 hours per day. Start times can be from 4:00am, depending on operational requirements. While the role is typically worked Monday to Friday, your contract will be based on any 5 days out of 7, providing flexibility to meet business needs.
