Job summary

Glassolutions, part of Saint-Gobain, is seeking a Class 2 Driver for a permanent full-time role based at the Cardiff branch. You will be responsible for daily deliveries, pre-checks, and safe loading while upholding road traffic laws.

The schedule is Monday to Friday with specific hours, and the role offers an annual bonus, pension, store discount and other flexible benefits. Customer service skills and Hiab experience are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Carry out daily vehicle checks before leaving the yard
• Report any vehicle issues to the manager promptly
• Adhere to road traffic laws at all times
• Take appropriate breaks as per tachograph rules
• Check and sign loads off every morning
• Ensure deliveries are loaded safely and strapped down
• Wear the appropriate PPE at all times
• Deliver to customers with consideration for the public

Job description

At Glassolutions, part of Saint-Gobain, we are looking for a Class 2 Driver for a Monday to Friday, permanent full-time role based out of our Cardiff branch.

We are currently looking for a driver who will be expected to always abide by the transport laws, ensuring all deliveries are made and giving consideration to the customer and the public.

This role is based out of our Cardiff branch and is a Monday to Friday role. You'll work 7.00 - 4.30 Monday and Tuesday, and 7.00 - 3.30 Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. In return for your driving experience you'll be eligible for an annual bonus, pension, store discount, and many other flexible benefits too.

What we're looking for:

• Minimum Class 2 license
• LGV driving experience
• Hold a current Driver CPC Card. With valid up-to-date training.
• Experience of interacting with customers

What will you be doing:

• Carry out daily checks of your vehicle before leaving the yard.
• Make any issues with your vehicle known to your manager immediately.
• Ensure you abide by the road traffic laws at all times.
• Ensure you take the appropriate breaks on your tachograph.
• Check and sign your load off every morning before leaving the yard.
• Ensure your deliveries are loaded safely and strapped down appropriately.
• The appropriate PPE must be worn at all times.
• Ensure deliveries are made giving consideration to the customer and the public.

Licence/Certification:

• Category C Licence (required)
• Hiab Experience and certificate (Desirable, but not essential)
