Job summary

Driver Hire Portsmouth is seeking an experienced Class 2 driver for a glass company in Portsmouth. Start date is immediate, with a permanent path through a temporary-to-permanent arrangement.

You will safely load, transport and deliver glass products to customers across Portsmouth and nearby areas, maintaining high safety and service standards. A valid Class 2 licence, CPC and Tacho Card, and reliable, professional conduct are essential.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 2 (HGV/C) licence and CPC & Tacho Card.
• Previous commercial driving experience is required.
• Experience handling glass or fragile goods is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Safely load, transport and deliver glass products to customers.
• Secure products for transport and handle fragile items with care.
• Carry out vehicle checks and report defects promptly.
• Deliver on time across Portsmouth and surrounding areas.
• Provide excellent customer service at each delivery.
