Job summary

GXO Logistics in Birmingham is seeking an experienced HGV Class 2 Driver to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis. The role operates on an ‘any 5 days from 7’ shift with a 14:00–20:00 start window and a 45-hour week.

You will perform multidrop deliveries to retail stores, handle palletised goods and returns, and maintain safe loading/unloading and accurate paperwork. We offer £36,459 salary, a monthly bonus up to £480, 33 days’ leave, a company pension, GP service, life assurance, GXO

Qualifications

• Previous experience driving Class 2 vehicles.
• Full UK driving licence with Category C entitlement.
• Valid Driver Qualification and Digital Tachograph Cards.
• No more than 6 penalty points.
• Endorsements DR, DG, DD, BA, CD, AC, LC or TT99.

Responsibilities

• Carry out multidrop deliveries to retail spaces and collect returns from stores.
• Handle palletised goods and cages, loading/unloading safely.
• Maintain clear communication with the Depot Transport Office and deliver service excellence.
• Operate company vehicles safely, legally, and with accurate paperwork.

You will be working on a full-time, permanent basis, on an ‘any 5 days from 7’ pattern, with start time window of 14:00 to 20:00, contracted to 45 hours per week.

What you will do on a typical day:

• Carry out multidrop deliveries to retail spaces while collecting returns from stores in line with operational requirements
• Handle both palletised goods and cages, ensuring safe and efficient loading and unloading procedures
• Maintain clear communication with the Depot Transport Office regarding any issues and deliver exemplary customer service by always being polite and courteous
• Operate company vehicles in a safe, legal, and efficient manner while ensuring required documents are completed accurately and on time

What you need to succeed at GXO:

• Previous experience driving Class 2 vehicles is essential
• Full UK driving licence with category C entitlement
• Valid Driver Qualification and Digital Tachograph Cards
• No more than 6 current penalty points
• DR, DG, DD, BA, CD, AC, LC or TT99 endorsements
