Job summary

Fifth Wheel Recruitment are seeking Class 2 Drivers in Mitcham to operate a refuse collection vehicle and support commercial waste collection for the client. You will hold a Class 2 licence with at least 6 months of commercial driving experience, plus UK DCPC and Digi-tacho cards.

Shift patterns run Monday to Friday, 04:00–14:00, with ongoing full-time work. Benefits include weekly pay, immediate starts, and comfortable facilities on site.

• UK DCPC card and a valid Digi-tacho card required

Responsibilities

• Drive and operate a Class 2 refuse collection vehicle
• Collect commercial refuse from various local areas
• Assist with manual movement of domestic wheelie bins; provide excellent customer service and ensure bins are left tidy and correctly repositioned
• Work safely around pedestrians, traffic and other road users
• Complete daily checks and report defects

Standard Rate: £16.90 per hour + £2.04 holiday pay = £18.94 per hour total

Overtime (after 45 hours): £25.35 per hour + £3.06 holiday pay = £28.41 per hour total

Hours: Monday to Friday (04:00 - 14:00 finish) - ongoing full time work

Licence: Class 2 licence essential

Roles & Responsibilities:

All applicants are expected to complete work to a high standard while following site safety procedures.

About you:

You will have your Class 2 Driving Licence and at least 6 months experience driving commercially. You must also have your UK DCPC card and a valid Digi-tacho card.Our client may accept up to 6 points on your licence, but we can not accept DD, TT, DR, CD, IN endorsements. As a professional Driver, you will be up to date with the WTD regulations.

You must be physically fit and comfortable with manual handling and be able to work independently when required. You must be reliable, punctual and safety conscious.

You will be a UK resident and will be able to travel to and from the site for your shift. We are unable to assist with VISA applications and cannot assist with relocation.
