Job summary

Interaction Recruitment is seeking a Class 2 Driver (Cat C) for ongoing, Monday–Friday deliveries of food products across multiple locations. You will work with a Drivers’ Mate, handle loading/unloading, and maintain delivery schedules with a strong focus on customer service.

The role offers an immediate start, consistent weekday hours and long-term potential. Drivers’ Mate provided, with no weekend work.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 2 (Cat C) licence.
• Driver CPC qualification.
• Digital Tachograph Card (Digi Card).
• Previous HGV/Class 2 driving experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely driving a Class 2 HGV vehicle and delivering food products to customers.
• Work alongside a Drivers’ Mate to complete deliveries efficiently.
• Carry out loading/unloading and handle products as required.
• Complete delivery paperwork or electronic records accurately.
• Perform vehicle checks and report defects; follow health and safety procedures.

CLASS 2 HGV DRIVER – FOOD DELIVERIES

IMMEDIATE START | ONGOING WORK | FULL-TIME | MONDAY–FRIDAY

We are currently recruiting Class 2 HGV Drivers (Cat C) for ongoing, full-time work delivering food products to customers across a variety of locations.

This is a great opportunity for reliable and hardworking drivers looking for consistent Monday-to-Friday work, regular hours and an immediate start.

Pay & Working Hours

• Pay: £17.00 per hour PAYE / £22ph umbrella
• Position: Full-time
• Work: Ongoing / long-term
• Days: Monday to Friday
• Start times: Between 6:00am and 7:00am
• Work @type: Food deliveries
• Drivers’ Mate: Provided
• Start: Immediate

The Role

As a Class 2 Driver, you will be responsible for delivering food products to customers at multiple locations throughout the day.

You will work alongside a Drivers’ Mate, who will assist with deliveries, making the role more efficient and helping with the physical aspects of the job.

The position involves job-and-knock deliveries, meaning you will be required to complete multiple deliveries throughout the day. Drivers will need to be comfortable with a physically demanding role, working to delivery schedules and providing a professional service to customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely driving and operating a Class 2 HGV vehicle.
• Delivering food products to customers at multiple locations.
• Completing job-and-knock deliveries efficiently and safely.
• Working closely with your allocated Drivers’ Mate.
• Loading, unloading and handling food products where required.
• Completing delivery paperwork and/or electronic delivery records.
• Carrying out vehicle checks and reporting any defects.
• Following all relevant driving, health and safety, and company procedures.
• Providing excellent customer service at each delivery.
• Ensuring deliveries are completed accurately and on time.

Driver Requirements

To be considered for this role, you will need:

• A valid Class 2 (Cat C) driving licence.
• Valid Driver CPC qualification.
• Valid Digital Tachograph Card (Digi Card).
• Previous HGV/Class 2 driving experience is preferred.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• A reliable and professional attitude.
• The ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Good physical fitness, as the role involves regular deliveries and manual handling.
• A strong work ethic and good timekeeping.
• The ability to work independently while following delivery schedules and instructions.
