Job summary

ARR Craib Ltd. is seeking a Class 2 Driver to perform multi‑drop pallet deliveries across Central Scotland using curtain side trailers and tail lifts. The role involves loading, securing loads, and daily vehicle checks, with regular contact with the transport team to meet customer expectations.

The position includes ongoing training, weekend overtime options, and benefits. Applicants must hold UK Class 2 licence, DCPC, and Tachograph cards, with good customer service and team skills.

Qualifications

• UK Class 2 C Licence is mandatory.
• DCPC Card and Digital Tachograph Driver Card required.
• Multi-drop experience preferred but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Drive a curtain side trailer for multi-drop pallet collections/deliveries within Central Scotland.
• Load and secure goods using straps and nets to prevent movement/damage.
• Carry out daily vehicle safety checks and communicate with the transport team.
• Attend regular training sessions to stay current with industry standards.

About the Role

As a Class 2 Driver, you will:

• Use a curtain side trailer to make multi drop collections and deliveries of pallets within the Pallet Network throughout Central Scotland. This will involve using a tail lift and pump trucks.
• Ensure goods are loaded and secured correctly to prevent shifting or damage. Use straps, nets, and other securing devices as needed.
• Perform comprehensive daily vehicle safety checks using your company phone to maintain top-notch vehicle safety and reliability.
• Stay in regular communication with the transport team to provide updates on your progress and ensure our customers' expectations are met.
• Participate in regular training sessions to stay ahead with the latest industry standards and best practices.

Essential Skills and Qualifications

• Must hold a UK Class 2 C Licence.
• Current DCPC Card and Digital Tachograph Driver Card.
• Experience of multi-drop preferred, but not essential.
• Passionate about providing excellent customer service.
• Ability to work to deadlines.
• Confident, polite, and a team player.
• Good geographical knowledge.
• Fit, flexible, hardworking, and self-motivated.
